Ladybank is a showcase for the variety of challenge open to members and visitors in Fife. For lovers of the game away from the sea Ladybank Golf Club provides a classic heathland test and enjoys a reputation as one of the finest inland layouts in Scotland.
Recently Ranked No 2 in Great Britain's Top 100 Courses under £100 by National Club Golfer magazine -
“Designed by Old Tom Morris, Ladybank is a rare beast in Fife – a tremendous inland course. It measures just over 6,600 from the medal tees, making great use of its heathland terrain. It has changed a little over the years, requiring the golfer to display real precision to hit the small and often contoured greens.
There are a few dog-legs between the trees where care is needed not to get blocked out. Never easy but always fun. Of its type, one of the finest courses in the land for my money. The experience here is always a rich one. Standing on the 1st tee, you know you are in for a treat.”
This is an amazing achievement for the Club considering the calibre of courses selected in this section. National Club Golfer magazine is the highest circulating golf magazine in the UK. So understandably everyone at the Club is absolutely delighted to achieve this accolade, which confirms our ranking as one of the best heathland courses in the UK.
Red squirrels, in decline in the UK, are resident in the proliferation of Scots pines in and around the course and can often be seen in the broad-leaved species of beech tree in the long avenue leading to the Clubhouse.
Our objective is the provision of a quality service to complement a quality course. We will endeavour to try and meet your individual needs to ensure you enjoy and remember your Open Qualifying Experience at Ladybank!
